Default Ebay?

So, do many of you turn to Ebay for your holiday shopping? I have gotten several items through Ebay this year for much cheaper. Now, if it is an item that could be defective and I would need to bring it back to a store, I avoid Ebay. This year, I bought clothes, puppets, books and a couple of toys for my son from Ebay. Really great!

I often look to eBay to buy gifts, because my brother and stepfather are really hard to buy for! My brother is a huge Jeff Gordon fan, and has almost everything under the sun. I always find something he doesn't have yet on eBay. This year I got him a Jeff Gordon "route" sign.

I didn't use Ebay much this year, as I gave a lot of gift cards. But in years past, I found some great stuff that I could not have gotten locally. I definitely recommend checking on Ebay before heading to the stores.

I used to do almost all of my gift shopping all year round on eBay. But the site has changed a lot and, though good deals can still be had, it's not as foolproof as it once was. Any more I do the majority of my online shopping at Amazon.com or major retailers during sales or with discount codes.

I turn to Ebay for some rare objects that I wish to find, but since it's Ebay, I kind of try not to do Christmas shopping there especially if I don't think that I'll get it in time.

I am a great fan of ebay. I have gotten soooo many things much cheaper and haven't really been burned yet, at least not badly.

While I prefer to buy items on Amazon, and consider myself to be an Amazon addict, I did buy some special things on ebay this year, too.

Here's a short list of what I can remember:

An American Girl doll for my 9 year old. I bought this doll on ebay last May, and stowed it until Christmas. I paid less than $50 for her. (She'd be over $100 on Americangirl.com.) My daughter has 4 American Girl dolls, and four came from Ebay.

A Veer & Zaara musical CD for my husband. We love the Indian/Pakistan movie, and actually bought the DVD on ebay in October. But my husband wanted the soundtrack - EBAY!

A Veer & Zaara poster - for my 9 year old - also on ebay.

An American Splendor (Harvey Pekar) graphic novel. Hard to find, got it on ebay!

I very rarely buy things on Ebay - mostly because I don't want to wait to see if I'm going to get it or not - when the auction ends. I can find good deals other places online though.

I use ebay a ton, and I've only really not gotten what I was supposed to once. I think that is really pretty good. Gift cards can be bought on ebay for much less too. Check them out.

LOVE LOVE LOVE EBay! I buy almost all of my daughter's clothes there. I just ordered a bunch of Baby Einstein videos for Easter too. Never knew about the gift cards, though.
