I have made a few purchases through Ebay. Usually, I buy things for myself though and not as gifts or for others.

I've bought a few things for my cell phone and computer from eBay...nothing else though...and only from power sellers.

I'm 23 and I've been using Ebay since I was 17, I'm a professional bidder and seller, so I know just how to find bargains and not get ripped a new one. I've only been cheated twice when I was about 17 (lady didn't send my item, another guy sent me a computer game disk that screwed up my computer) and have not been scammed since!
So I buy happily and find lots of rare items that my friends are jealous of, and it makes gift shopping so much easier!

I've bought things for my kids as gifts, but I don't know that I would buy a gift for someone else on there. But then, if the item were brand new, I don't see why not.

I find most everything on Ebay ...I've sold and I buy as well. When I had a retail shop, I found some great suppliers through ebay. People who had cottage businesses and didn't know how to advertise otherwise.

I love shopping online... It's hassle free and you can guarantee a good quality in a very cheap price. COOL! huh?!

It all depends, I buy items on ebay if the item bears a fixed price that all you need to do is make an order. Auctioning, i'm not going to waste my time.
