I know they don't have Wal-Marts all over the world yet, but I truly believe that it's bound to happen eventually. Personally, I can't stand 'em. They may have low prices, but the stores are chaotic and the customer service is non-existent.
I'm not the only one who thinks this, of course: "On the way home last night, I stopped at Wal-Mart to buy some milk, as we were running out. Predictably, they had run out. I don’t know why, but this Wal-Mart in particular seems to run out of my particular brand very quickly. I looked around for someone who could help - there’s almost always some more in the back. After a couple of minutes, one fellow came out. I stopped him and asked him if they had any more. He scratched his head and asked me to follow him. He walked all the way to the front of the store (for some reason supermarkets like to put milk in one back corner and bread in another, so it was a long walk), past the long checkout lines, and pointed to the long line of people waiting to be served by one harried-looking individual who apparently comprised the entire Customer Service Department. I thanked him (what else could I do?) and he went on his merry way. I stood there for five seconds of sheer incredulity before leaving the store in disgust. I went to another store that charged 26c per Carton more, but 1) had the item in stock and 2) did not make me wait. This experience has taught me that Wal-Mart needs some new marketing slogans. Here are my suggestions.
Those slogan suggestions really cracked me up. So what I want to know is who here is a big fan of Wal-Mart, and if you think their low prices makes up for the lack of customer service. |

To be honest, I shop there once or twice per year. I don't like the long lines, those cashier who don't know to say "Hello" or "How are you ?" as I'm used in other places. Plus, they never smile !!! Geez, I have always the impression they just want to get rid of you. I know they are not paid much, nevertheless they work with clients.
It's true they have low prices and you have the quality according with the price. Tell your friends you prefer boutiques ![]() |

We keep going back to Wal-Mart every week for groceries and other necessities because they are the cheapest. Every week when we leave, my husband says, "I hate Wal-Mart". ha!
I like them okay as long as I go at a time when they aren't really crowded. During the Christmas season, that will probably be never. ![]() |

The couple of times I ventured into the Wal-Mart out here it was crowded, dirty, and the customer service was horrible. After watching the documentary "Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Prices" I never went back.
