Default Japanese Water Garden

Japanese gardeners have evolved a uniquely structured way of thinking about the pleasures of water and gardening to the extent that they have formalized what is needed in the way of elements, features and plants.

Although Japanese water gardens are perfect for small, enclosed spaces (simply because a good part of the Japanese tradition is concerned with smallness, quiet and privacy), they work just as well for a large and peaceful garden.
