Default fat and inflammation

I've always wondered if there was a link between being overweight and being unhealthy. It seems that there are links between fat and inflammation:

“This study may help explain the link between dietary fat consumption and inflammation and could be one of the critical links between metabolism and immune responses,” says senior author Professor Charles Mackay, Director of Sydney’s Garvan Institute’s Immunology Program." Clues To How Diet Affects The Immune System ~ Tech News Watch

Thanks for that information, ninikins. I would have never thought to draw that connection! Just provides more incentive for me to keep my weight in check.

I had never thought about a link between excess weight and inflammation, but when you think about it, the whole idea does make perfect sense. thanks for the link, I will bookmark it and read up.

I drink either Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi daily, I just recently opened a can of diet Coke and noticed a thin layer over the top of the drink, I also noticed this on the top of diet Pepsi drinks, if you are wondering what layer I’m talking about it is the same as if it is raining outside and a car leaks oil, it makes a funny look on the water. Does anyone know what in the diet Coke and Pepsi causes this to happen?

Hi friends, my doctor said that my blood pressure is normal on the "low" side but I don’t know the exact reading. However, I'm tired all the time, and I fainted at work. My doctor seems to have no fear, but I don’t want to be tired all the time. I've had taken blood tests but there is nothing wrong. So please tell me how can I make my blood pressure higher?
