What are some of your favorite weird but delicious food combinations? Mine is a bagel with butter (I use I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, hehe), jelly, and...a few slices of bacon. My friend convinced me to try it and I was hooked! I don't even it often, of course, but it's definitely not the healthiest thing for you

I'm not a big jelly eater, but... well, this sounds pretty good to me!I like bacon and I like bagels, so why not?! My strangest combo is probably putting ketchup on a few things that most people wouldn't put ketchup on. hehe |

Peanut butter on corn-on-the-cob, cinnamon (and sometimes finely chopped chili peppers) in chocolate cakes/brownies, spearmint in spinach recipes, pure maple syrup in cornbread (instead of sugar) and either blueberries or raspberries in lemon cake/quick bread.
I could come up with others later if anybody's interested. ![]() Phyllis Sidheuaine |

Hey Phyllis, I'm a HUGE chili pepper fan...would you mind telling me which recipes taste the best with the chili pepper addition? I would love to try! Since we seem to be on a peanut butter kick here, I'll add this one: my boyfriend loves spread peanut butter on his buttermilk (or buckwheat) pancakes.

For the chili peppers, anything you want to have a "Mexican chocolate" flavor, add the cinnamon and peppers (I got the chili addition idea from a poster on I, Brian's interfaith forum, the cinnamon idea came a few years ago when I just wanted to "jazz up" a cake mix for Passover [and cover up the bitter potato starch aftertaste.])
Another peanut butter idea I have is adding some peanut butter to oatmeal bread (mix it into the dough.) Phyllis Sidheuaine |

My husband puts strawberry jelly and mustard on his sausage biscuits. He says it makes it taste like sweet and sour pork. Thank you, I'll pass. Of course, he also ruins steak by putting ketchup on it instead of steak sauce. Yuck!
I don't think *I* personally eat any weird combinations, at least none that I can remember. |

Ooo, I love cream cheese and grape jelly! I've been doing that for years, since I was a kid. It also works well with strawberry jam. I also do cucumbers and cream cheese on a semi-regular basis. I go to the local bagel/coffee shop and get a bagel with veggie cream cheese and cucumbers.
