Mine is pretty simple, too. Since I homeschool my kids, we don't have a lot we have to rush around and get dressed for. So, I'm up, take care of my personal needs, and head to the computer to check email. When the kiddos get up, we have breakfast, get going on schoolwork, and then relax the rest of the day.

bed and stumble to the kitchen. After that it's the normal... shower, breakfast, try to wake up, and then start working. Workout usually comes a little later in the morning, like around 9. My day starts at 5 most mornings, so by 9 I'm actually awake.

I work at home and I'm an early morning person. Usually, I'm awake by 6, make coffee, feed the dogs, open the front door for them, and them listen or watch news (I don't know what to do from 6-9 a.m. without Imus anymore) and sort through overnight emails. I don't bother getting dressed until late morning unless I've got an outside appointment.. I love my long mornings.

Thanks, FourBear. It's still not enough hours in the day to get everything done that I want to do, though. But I'm not about to get up earlier than 5. Been there, done that, don't have ANY intention to start it up again!

Since I work from home now, my routine is to get up and fix something light for breakfast, often oatmeal. I check email, and then move on to a scan of my list of things to do for the day. After making sure I have things prioritized properly, I grab a shower than get to work.

I love mornings, too, because it's my me time. (Not every morning, mind you.......because I'm in nursing school, some mornings, like this morning, I'm at clinicals by 6 AM.)
First thing I do is turn on the computer, then make coffee. I do a few pet related chores and then sit down to check my emails and get caught up with that. If I'm home in the morning, I usually hit the treadmill about 9 - but from about 6-9, it's my time. |
