Default Did you have a successful long distancce

Did you ever have a successful long distance relationship I am wondering if there is ever a chance that these type of relationships can work for people. I am taken so it doesn't matter but have a pal who is considering this.

No back when I was on the dating scene, I did not ever have a successful long distance relationship. I tried a time or two but it was just too hard to see each other enough.

My husband and I did. It was tough, but we were quite in love and it worked. We are married now and have a beautiful daughter. We talked on the computer and on the phone every single day.

I had a long distance relationship that broke up because the guy I was with couldn't cope with the long distance bit - he was way too clingy, ringing, writing, wanting to visit all the time and wanting me to visit him even though I couldn't afford to.

I was young at the time and still at college, he was too pushy even during exam time. If he'd just backed off for a few months it would have been fine.

My husband was in a long distance relationship for a year or so before he met me. That broke up too, but for them it wasn't the distance, it was some other (complicated) stuff.

So I think it can work out - sure, there can be problems, but a lot of the time its just the same as a normal relationship.
