My husband and I share chores - I do the hoovering and the ironing, we alternate the washing up, and he sorts out the laundry and cleans the oven / grill (the sight of fat makes me feel ill, the grill would never get done if it was up to me).
I think it works well. |

Me and my apartmentmates share chores. We take turns cooking dinner, and whoever didn't cook that night does dishes. We have a garbage schedule, and clean together on Fridays by each cleaning a section of the apartment.

We pretty much share chores, although lately he's been picking up more than his share because I've had some health issues. We've also started having the kiddos pick up some of them. Of course, that doesn't mean they do them on time, or in a manner that I would like, but at least I'm not having to do everything.

I actually credit my mom for my cleaning-ethic. As soon as I was old enough, she assigned chores for me to do around the house. Of course, like you say, I didn't necessarily do them on time, but when I got my own place I knew how to go about things.

My husband and I share the chores in our house. We don't have a clear division of who does what, we just kind of pitch in as it needs to be done. On weekends my husband has put me on "dish vacation" because I do them all week long.
