Rosemary, I'm the same way. Extremely shy in real life, probably even a little so online. I did a proper personality test last year which showed I was extremely introverted, like off the scale. So interaction is hard for me face-to-face. I love the anonimity of these boards, but I still behave in an honest manner. I'm never deceptive, and never mean to insult (intentionally, any way). And I'm always deleting or quickly editing posts, too. Thought I was the only one overthinking things...

I think its really interesting. Sometimes in real life I'm very extroverted, and other times I'm intensely shy. And I see those modes reflected in how I am on the internet. Sometimes I post all over the place, and other times I don't say much for days on end. But I'm always me when I'm on the net. I don't know if that's good or bad, but it is what it is. I am what I am, and I don't think I can be any different.

i think it's always for the best, if you stop to make thigs up, you run the risk of forgetting and then getting caught.

I'm pretty honest online. I use "Treikayan" as my screenname, and I don't have any other MuPs or sock puppets, so when you see Treikayan, it's me. As a matter of fact, I use "Treikayan" everywhere. It's easy to remember. heh. Anyhow, as honest as I strive to be in person, I try to be online as well. I know and realize the Internet creates a big veil over honesty.

I would have to say that most of us who post on the Internet suffer with shyness or agrophobia. I could be wrong though. I know I suffer from shyness.
