Sunglasses that collect solar energy

Designers Hyun-Joong Kim and Kwang-Seok Jeong have invented a new pair of sunglasses that not only protect your eyes from the sun, but also absorb the sun’s power to produce electricity.
The sunglasses can be connected up to an iPod, or another gadget, charging it up whilst you relax.
The lenses turn rays of sunlight into electrical energy whilst the wearer sunbathes or walks around town on a sunny day.
A ‘cheap organic dye’ combined with nanotechnology gives the glasses ‘high energy efficiency’, the designers claim.
