Tobacco - Six years and no progress

The last six years have shown no move on reduced harm tobacco products, according to a CSR report produced by BAT. While sales keep rising, will we ever see a change?

The focus is on harm reduction, but it seems there a alternative product that may combat some issues.

Snus, a Swedish tobacco product, its not smoked, but inserted between the teeth while the body absorbs the nicotine, it shows massive reductions in diseases, but is illegal in many parts of the EU.

Without Snus being legal, and therefore, discarding a reduced harm product, we are dependant on tobacco firms developed reduced or non harm replica products in the near future, this would revolutionize the worldwide market.

For the moment, with higher sales in the original tobacco products, there is no need for tobacco companies to alter what they are doing, and risk market share.
