Nuclear talks at London summit

British Energy will be the 2008 sponsor for the leading climate change summit, in the UK. The summit is set to take place 12-13 February at Regents Park at the Marriot hotel, in London.

If acted upon now, climate change could be a business opportunity, but each company has its own environmental and financial responsibilities towards climate change. Speakers from Lehman Brothers, The Co-Operative Group, Cadbury Schweppes, ASDA, British Gas, Tesco, Timberland and AXA insurance are supposedly making an appearance.

Other subjects that are to be discussed are:

• How to craft climate change messages to win over the most skeptical customers.
• Offsets and taking advantage of carbon trading.
• Climate change objectives and achievements for maximum impact.
• Managing the many risks of climate change.
